Senior Analyst

Senior Analyst - SAP HANA and SAP BODS– Deloitte Support Services Private Limited

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP professional with over 6 years of experience in SAP HANA native development and SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data models and ETL processes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities/Job Duties:

SAP HANA Native Development

• Design, develop, and implement native SAP HANA solutions, including calculation views, table functions, and stored procedures.
• Optimize HANA models and SQL scripts for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform advanced data modeling, data provisioning, and integration using HANA tools (SDI, SDA, SLT).
• Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for HANA-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards within the HANA environment.
• Document technical designs, processes, and best practices.

SAP BODS Development

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using SAP BODS for data extraction, transformation, and loading into SAP HANA and other targets.
• Optimize and troubleshoot BODS jobs to ensure reliability and performance.
• Work with data architects and business users to understand integration requirements and deliver robust data pipelines.
• Manage job scheduling, automation, and monitoring for ETL processes.
• Document ETL processes and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Technical Skills

SAP HANA Native (6 years)

• Expert in SAP HANA data modeling (Attribute, Analytic, Calculation Views)
• Advanced SQL scripting, stored procedures, and performance tuning in HANA
• Experience with HANA Studio, Web IDE, and HANA XS Classic/Advanced
• Proficient in data provisioning (SDI, SDA, SLT) and integration with external sources
• Strong understanding of HANA security, roles, and authorizations
• Familiarity with SAP BW on HANA and integration points (preferred)

SAP BODS (5+ years preferred)

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP BODS ETL development and administration
• Proficient in designing complex ETL workflows, data mappings, and transformations
• Experience with job scheduling, performance optimization, and troubleshooting in BODS
• Ability to integrate data from various SAP and non-SAP sources
• Understanding of data warehousing, data quality, and data governance concepts

General

• 3-6 years of relevant SAP experience, with a focus on HANA and BODS
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Self-motivated.

• Ability to negotiate and manage expectations across the board.

Location: Hyderabad

Work Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology
• 3-6 years experience in a similar role and Enterprise organization.
