Job Title: Warehouse / Depot Manager

Department: Supply Chain / Operations

Location: East Africa

Budget: $1,500 $2,500 per month (CTC All Inclusive)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse / Depot Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations for a leading FMCG company engaged in Route-to-Market (RTM) van sales distribution. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in managing warehouse teams, optimizing inventory and logistics processes, and be proficient in ERP systems such as Odoo or SAP B1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch, and stock reconciliation.
  • Manage a team of storekeepers, loaders, drivers, and support staff ensuring high productivity and adherence to SOPs.
  • Ensure proper layout, labeling, FIFO/LIFO practices, and safety protocols are maintained.
  • Monitor vehicle loading/unloading and dispatch planning for RTM van sales operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP (preferably Odoo or SAP B1) and generate reports for stock levels, wastage, and movement.
  • Implement cost-saving and space optimization strategies without compromising accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the sales, distribution, and procurement teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and audit standards.
  • Handle vendor relationships related to depot infrastructure, equipment, and logistics services.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse management within FMCG or van sales distribution setup.
  • Practical working knowledge of ERP systems (Odoo / SAP B1) is essential.
  • Experience in RTM distribution models will be an added advantage.
