Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain software applications using the latest React, Java and Spring Boot technologies in cloud (Azure/OCI) .Create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systemsPerform analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvementsPropose sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefrontContribute to code reviews and automated testing to maintain code quality and improve efficiency. Provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development proceduresOwn all aspects of product development by following compliance and security best practicesReview tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately priortise and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalationLead and mentor a team of software developers, providing guidance and support throughout the development lifecycleCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop innovative solutions, and ensure code quality. Assist in documenting production support processes in the cloud environment and ensure knowledge transfer within the team. Identify and implement process improvements to optimise team performance and delivery in cloud (Azure/OCI) Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and product managers to ensure alignment and transparencyParticipate in Agile development methodologies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in React (primary), Java and Spring Boot technologies (secondary)Strong development background on full stack end-to-end technologies - both front end and back end. React, Javascript, Java, Spring Boot tech stacks, CI/CD, CloudUnderstanding of Software Development Principles:
Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, and design patternsAbility to apply these principles to build scalable and maintainable Java applicationsKnowledge of Security Best Practices:

Understanding of security principles and best practices in web application developmentFamiliarity with concepts such as authentication, authorization, data encryption, secure coding practices, and protection against common web vulnerabilities like cross-site scripting (XSS), cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and SQL injectionProficiency in Version Control Systems: Experience with version control systems like Git, including knowledge of branching, merging, resolving conflicts, and utilizing Git workflows effectivelyDatabase Knowledge:
Basic understanding of relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL, including knowledge of SQL queries, database design principles, and the ability to interact with databases from Java applicationsUnderstanding of the principles and concepts of microservices architectureKnowledge of designing, developing, and deploying scalable and loosely coupled microservicesThis includes familiarity with API gateways, service discovery, load balancing, fault tolerance, and communication patterns such as REST and message queuesTesting and quality assurance: Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, or Selenium for writing and executing tests, as well as understanding the importance of code quality and test coverageFamiliarity with Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, including concepts like sprints, user stories, and backlog managementDebugging and problem-solving skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug code, identify and fix issues, and find solutions to problemsCollaboration and communication: Proven ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholdersContinuous learning mindset: Proven eagerness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and best practices, as well as staying updated with the latest trends in software developmentProblem-solving and critical thinking skills: Proven ability to analyze problems, break them down into smaller tasks, and come up with effective solutionsAttention to detail: Paying close attention to details, writing clean and maintainable code, and following coding standards and best practicesSelf-motivation and proactiveness: Taking initiative, being self-driven, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve skills and contribute to the team's success
