Position Overview:

We are seeking a Looker Developer to support the design and development of dashboards, reports, and data models within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with 24 years of BI experience to deepen their expertise in Looker, BigQuery, and data visualization best practices.

You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to build clean, reliable dashboards and help establish reusable data models that drive business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Looker dashboards and reports for business users.
  • Assist in creating and optimizing LookML models that connect with BigQuery.
  • Write SQL queries for data exploration, validation, and performance optimization.
  • Support stakeholders by gathering requirements and translating them into visualization solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and consistency across reports.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and senior developers on data structure design.
  • Document dashboards, models, and processes to enable knowledge sharing.
  • Learn and apply best practices in BI development and data storytelling.

Required Skills:

  • 2–4 years of experience in BI / Data Analytics / Visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with Looker (LookML basics, dashboards, Explores).
  • Solid understanding of SQL (basic to intermediate queries).
  • Exposure to BigQuery or other cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related field.
  • Looker Business Analyst Certification or interest in pursuing one.
  • Familiarity with GCP data services (Dataplex, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
  • Exposure to other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, JavaScript) desirable but not required.
