Role: Senior Mainframe Tester (Functional Testing)

Location: Hyderabad

Duration: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Looking for a Mainframe testing professionals to perform Batch testing using JCL, DB2, VSAM, SQL on Mainframes, Knowledge of functional testing is a must.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and cases for full stack applications, covering both distributed and mainframe platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding developers, QA, business stakeholders, and support teamsto ensure robust solutions and effective defect resolution.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and support.
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and document defects, ensuring high quality, maintainability, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the QA and engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in QA/testing roles with exposure to both distributed and mainframe technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and mainframe technologies ( DB2, JCL, VSAM, SQL).
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and scripting.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in hybrid onshore/offshore models.
  • Good to have: Candidate should have knowledge in automation testing with Core java, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and scripting languages.
