Network Engineer
to ensure robust connectivity, seamless integrations, and exceptional system performance across our deployments.

Position Overview

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure that supports Fonzel's smart locker ecosystem. This role involves ensuring high network uptime, secure data transmission, and smooth integration of IoT devices with customer networks. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, solution-oriented, and experienced in working with both on-premise and cloud-connected hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Design & Implementation
  • Design and configure network solutions for smart locker installations at customer sites.
  • Ensure secure and stable connectivity for IoT devices, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud integrations.
  • Installation & Support
  • Collaborate with deployment teams to configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks during project execution.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for troubleshooting network-related issues.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Implement network security protocols to protect IoT systems from vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with customer IT policies and industry standards.
  • Monitoring & Optimization
  • Monitor network performance using relevant tools and proactively address issues.
  • Optimize configurations for speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaboration & Documentation
  • Work closely with software, hardware, and project teams to ensure smooth end-to-end connectivity.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for network designs, configurations, and incident reports.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, MikroTik, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and wireless network protocols.
  • Experience with IoT device connectivity and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, intrusion prevention, and network monitoring tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
