BlueHippo is a platform that connects talented Data Engineering experts with exciting Projects for our US clients. Our unique approach allows consultants to work part-time or full-time on projects once they have been interviewed and approved, eliminating the need for additional interviews.

Job Summary
We are seeking multiple experienced data Engineers, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and should be able to communicate with clients directly. The candidate should have excellent skills in ETL, Data Pipelines, SQL, Python, R and various database and data manipulation tools.

Note: This job is not for Beginners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of data from various sources.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support data warehousing, reporting, and analytics needs.
  • ETL Processes: Implement and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources, both structured and unstructured, and ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data pipelines and database performance to ensure timely and efficient data retrieval.
  • Data Security: Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation of data processes, schemas, and data lineage for reference and auditing purposes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide data solutions that meet their needs.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with the latest data engineering technologies and tools and make recommendations for adoption when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a track record of designing and implementing data solutions.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and reliability.
