Position Summary

Futures First offers a unique opportunity in Montreal to work in the worlds most stimulating, liquid, and well-developed derivatives markets. We are looking for people who can join our team in Montreal, Canada starting either January or June of 2026. This is for our interest rates desk so think all things American and Canadian monetary and fiscal policy, bond and short-term funding markets, and market microstructure. So, if youre interested in Fixed Income Markets, Liquidity Provision, Market Making, Capital Allocation, Portfolio and Risk Management, this is the job for you

Job Profile Responsibilities:

• Quantitative analysis of financial instruments on major exchanges
• Building strategies and algorithms
• In depth market analysis
• Risk management
• Development and maintenance of disciplined market plans
• Evaluation of economic and market trends using statistical tools

Education Qualifications

• Have a Bachelors degree (preferably STEM, but open to Finance, Economics, Politics etc.)

Work Experience

• Passionate about financial markets and like taking risks

Skill Set

• Eligible to work in Montreal, Canada on a full-time basis.
• Bonus points if you competed in some sport, played poker or engaged successfully in sports betting at a high enough level.
