About ARC-Net

ARC-Net is an initiative translating IISc's research and student potential into industry outcomes — new products and services in Artificial Intelligence, delivered by student (PhD, Masters, UG) run teams. Our model enables young talent to work on real-world problems and create breakthrough solutions by participating in real, high stakes industry given contractual projects while learning to build to scale and manage innovation on the clock – the hallmarks of future proof talent.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Technical Lead who will be responsible for architecting and operationalizing the technical roadmap for ARC-Net's projects. This individual will participate in leadership, manage milestones and operations for ARC-Net's projects, and ensure impactful exchange between researchers and industry partners through students.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Architect and operationalize technical roadmaps for AI projects.
  2. Collaborate with faculty, students, and industry partners to define goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  3. Mentor student cohorts, fostering real-world exposure and technical excellence.
  4. Ensure scalability and industry relevance of innovation focused solutions
  5. Contribute strategically to ARC-Net's mission of translating research into invention.

Required Qualifications

  1. BTech/MTech in Computer Science.
  2. Minimum 3 years of work experience.
  3. Proven experience working with R&D focused cross-disciplinary projects.
  4. Strong technical architecture and systems design expertise.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in industry–academia collaborations or technology transfer.
  2. Exposure to innovation ecosystems and industry research partnerships.
  3. Established network within AI/SaaS communities.
