Endoscopy Technician

Role & responsibilities

• To carry out Endoscopy procedures.
• To clean and sterilize the equipments prior to every procedure.
• Explain the position details and other prerequisites to the patient before carrying out the procedures.
• Maintain and check the equipments and accessories to be used.
• Upkeep of all technical equipments.
• Coordinate with doctors and nurse in finalizing the list of patients undergoing the various procedures.
• Arrange the items for department from stores.
• Maintain patient file records along with the cleanliness of the equipments used, lab and patients.
• Maintain the equipment log book and inform the bio-medical engineer in case of any failures in the equipment.
• To ascertain that every patient has given appropriate consent for the procedures prior to taking the patient on table.
• Maintaining the Data pertaining to the Endoscopy Procedures
• Being able to facilitate b/w the Patients and consultants so that the procedure is carried out effectively.
• All the things such as Equipment, Records, lab, medicines, instruments etc are taken care of.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Diploma in Endoscopy

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
