POSITION OVERVIEW:
Apollo is seeking a dynamic, results-driven individual to join its Investment Operations team in Mumbai for its Asset Servicing team.
This team provides investment operational support to various Funds, Separately Managed Accounts and Portfolio companies managed by Apollo, a leading global alternative asset management company. The role focuses on supporting the processing of lifecycle events and asset servicing for a range of loan products including bank debt, mortgage loans, and syndicated loans.
We are looking for a subject matter expert with strong experience in corporate actions or bank debt notice processing, break resolution and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will engage within business operations and possess strong analytical and communication skills to work collaboratively and effectively with various groups.
The candidate should be self-driven, capable of working independently and within teams, is hands-on with experience in working on complex infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Asset Servicing & Lifecycle Management
Process lifecycle events and notices for paydowns, interest, coupons, delayed draws, revolvers, PIK, and cashless rolls.
Support daily asset servicing tasks for bank debts, mortgage loans, and syndicated loan transactions.
Monitor and book restructures, bridge/commitment fees, and interest defaults.
Apply backdated coupon/factor updates as needed.
2. Data Management & Reconciliation
Ensure accurate and timely data entry and reconciliation in internal systems.
Monitor daily reconciliation of cash, position, and accruals, and assist in resolving breaks.
Work closely with the Middle Office to tie out fund positions monthly.
Collaborate with the Security Master/Pricing team to set up new securities/symbols and ensure accurate pricing.
3. Reporting & Documentation
Assist in preparing periodic reports and maintaining up-to-date process documentation.
Maintain supervisory checklists and evidence control procedures and calculations.
4. Process Ownership & Improvement
Take full ownership and accountability of processes, including system maintenance, process design, data accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to controls.
Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives and systems enhancement projects.
5. Communication & Stakeholder Support
Respond to queries and ad-hoc desk requests regarding current, new, or closed investments.
Ensure clear communication with internal stakeholders and take ownership of follow-ups and issue resolution.
Regularly communicate with custodians, trustee banks, and administrative agents to confirm payment notices, reconcile statements, and obtain any missing or unclear information related to servicing events.
Identify and investigate servicing breaks or exceptions and escalate unresolved items appropriately. Maintain logs of servicing issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize impact on financial and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate/Master's Degree/Chartered Accountant with focus in Operations/Finance/Accounting would be preferred
2-5 years of relevant work experience.

Equity/Options (listed and otc)
Strong knowledge of finance (P&L/NAV/etc.)
Strong work ethic shows initiative and deep desire to learn and strengthen individual skill set.
Ability to effectively prioritize workload. Someone who encourages continuous improvement.
Must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required
Experience with VPM, Everest, Thinkfolio and IMActions is a plus
