Role Description:

The Technical Project Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects and initiatives. This role bridges business objectives and technical implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals. The Manager will coordinate cross- functional teams, manage dependencies, and drive execution excellence through strong project management discipline and technical acumen. Key responsibilities include:

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Manage multiple concurrent technical projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget
  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable delivery plans with clear milestones and ownership.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, success criteria, and governance

processes.

  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and

Technical Coordination

  • Work closely with engineering, product, architecture, and QA teams to ensure technical feasibility and delivery readiness.
  • Participate in technical solutioning discussions to align project goals with architecture and infrastructure standards.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs between design, development, testing, and deployment phases.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders across technology and business functions.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions clearly and regularly to

senior leadership.

  • Facilitate alignment and collaboration between technical teams and non- technical partners.

Delivery Governance & Process Improvement

  • Implement and continuously improve delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid).
  • Drive standardization and best practices in project tracking, reporting, and

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor, engineers, and cross-functional delivery

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or

a related field.

  • PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification preferred (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP).

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in project or program management within a technology-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex

technical projects.

  • Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders and working with Product Leaders
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or MS Project).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical understanding and ability to engage credibly with engineering teams.

It'll be helpful if you have:
  • 7+ years of Technical Project Management experience, and 5+ years of managing a team
  • Knowledge of market research tools
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp etc.) and MS Office Suite.
