Reporting To: Quality Manager

Job PurposeTo manage production planning & control (PPC) activities while ensuring strict compliance with Technical Control (TC) and Technical Delivery Standards (TDS) in the CTC department, enabling timely delivery of defect-free products as per customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control (PPC):

  • Prepare and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production plans for the CTC department based on customer orders, machine capacity, and raw material availability.
  • Coordinate with purchase, stores, and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Track WIP (Work-In-Progress) across all stages slitting, paper covering, transposition, curing, finishing, and dispatch.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions to achieve optimum capacity utilization.
  • Monitor and report actual vs. planned production, delays, and corrective measures.
  • Support management in order scheduling and delivery commitments.

2. Quality Technical Control (TC):

  • Ensure adherence to technical parameters at every stage of CTC manufacturing.
  • Conduct and verify in-process quality checks (slitting, insulation, transposition, curing, wrapping, dimension control, etc.).
  • Maintain and verify equipment calibration records, quality inspection records, and process logs.
  • Support in reducing rejections, rework, and deviations by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D / process engineering for process improvements.

3. Quality Technical Delivery Standards (TDS):

  • Ensure all customer orders are executed strictly as per approved TDS and technical drawings.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update TDS-related documents and quality inspection plans.
  • Ensure finished CTC products meet IEC / IS / ASTM / EN standards and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies / customer representatives for product testing and approvals.
  • Prepare and provide test certificates (TC) and compliance documents with dispatches.
  • Maintain traceability of raw materials, process records, and test reports for all dispatched products.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of copper & aluminium CTC manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of PPC practices, capacity planning, and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO and electrical conductor testing.
  • Ability to read & interpret technical drawings, TDS documents, and customer specifications.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Strong coordination and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP/MIS reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in PPC / Quality (TC & TDS) in CTC, winding wire, or conductor manufacturing industry.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • On-time delivery vs. production schedule adherence.
  • Conformance to TC & TDS requirements (zero customer complaints).
  • Reduction in in-process and final stage rejections.
  • Capacity utilization and productivity improvement.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reports, test certificates, and documentation.
