Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Developer (Big Data) to design and deliver scalable, high-performance data processing solutions. Youll work closely with engineers and data scientists to optimize Spark applications and contribute to innovative cloud-based data workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable applications using PySpark (RDDs, Spark SQL, DataFrames).
- Implement efficient data engineering pipelines using Spark, Hive, and Hadoop.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions in Agile mode.
- Troubleshoot performance and processing issues in large-scale data environments.
- Transform raw data into actionable insights through modeling and processing.
- Stay current with advancements in Spark, Big Data, and cloud technologies.
Required Skills
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Big Data Engineering.
- Strong expertise in Apache Spark, Hive, Hadoop, and Airflow.
- Proficiency in Scala or Python.
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions and HTML5.
- Solid understanding of HDFS and the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Experience with Spark application optimization and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to cloud design and build practices.
- Prior experience in the healthcare or payer domain is a plus.
