Function Overview

The Sr Quality Engineer I plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and services. This role is part of the Technology Quality Function, which focuses on strategy, planning, standards, process, policy, tools, engineering, assurance, metrics, automation, and testing across all technology functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform UI and API testing using tools like Selenium, Postman, and REST clients.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define quality standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; ensure timely resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with software QA methodologies and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint deliverables.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in UI automation and API testing.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, JSON, REST, and Postman.
  • Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with Selenium or similar automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in software quality engineering.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies (React, Storybook) and accessibility testing.
  • Experience with bug tracking and version control systems.
