Lab Chemist Trainee

Role & responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products as per standard test methods.
  • Monitor product quality parameters and report any deviations to the supervisor.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meter, viscometer, spectrophotometer, balance, etc.
  • Maintain daily test records, log books, and documentation accurately.
  • Support R&D / QC teams in analysis and result interpretation.
  • Ensure compliance with lab safety standards, SOPs, and housekeeping practices.
  • Assist in sample preparation, reagent standardization, and calibration of instruments.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry (Analytical / Industrial / Inorganic / Applied Chemistry preferred)
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years (Freshers are welcome)
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of lab instrument operation.
  • Computer Skills: Basic MS Excel / Word for data entry and report preparation.
  • Soft Skills: Good observation skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
  • Preference:
  • Candidates from Bhuj nearby areas.
  • Candidates willing to work in rotational shifts, if required.
