We are seeking a
dedicated and detail-oriented GMP Buyer
to join our procurement team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and monitoring SAP and manual Purchase Requisitions (PRs) related to
Critical Processing Aids (CPAs)
and production consumables, and for converting them into
Purchase Orders (POs)
in coordination with the sourcing function.
This role requires a strong understanding of
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers, logistics, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and Monitor PRs:
Regularly track and monitor SAP and manual PRs. Convert PRs into POs in collaboration with the sourcing team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies. - Supplier Coordination:
Coordinate with suppliers on post-PO release activities, including material receipts, payment processing, and issue resolution to ensure timely and efficient operations. - GMP Compliance:
Ensure that all procurement activities comply with
GMP requirements
applicable to CPAs, maintaining complete documentation and adherence to quality standards. - Logistics and Taxation Coordination:
Work closely with logistics and taxation teams to manage consignment pickups and
Special Economic Zone (SEZ)
requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. - Internal Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address CPA-related needs, facilitating communication and alignment across departments. - Supplier Quality Requirements:
Coordinate with suppliers to meet the requirements of the quality team, ensuring that all materials and products meet the necessary standards and specifications. - Open PO Monitoring:
Monitor open POs and deliveries, track savings, and prepare regular reports to provide insights into procurement performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. Familiarity with SAP is highly desirable.
- GMP Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of GMP activities and compliance requirements is essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to monitor procurement activities, track savings, and prepare detailed reports.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with procurement policies.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to procurement activities, material receipts, and supplier coordination.

- Experience with SAP procurement modules.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations.
