Job Summary:
The Biomining Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing the processes involved in biomining operations. This includes overseeing the scientific, technical, and operational aspects of bio-remediation and resource recovery from legacy waste. The role requires strong expertise in waste management, microbial processes, and environmental compliance to ensure safe, sustainable, and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and manage biomining activities at the andfill or legacy waste site.

*Monitor the segregation, processing, and recovery of materials using trommels and other equipment.

*Coordinate with project teams for timely execution of tasks as per SOPs and regulatory norms.

*Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment used in biomining.

*Analyze data from field tests (e.g., leachate, moisture, and microbial activity) and optimize process parameters.

*Train and guide ground staff, operators, and contractors in biomining practices.

*Maintain documentation for daily reports, process observations, waste segregation data, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications
:

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Experience:

4 to 7 years of experience in biomining, waste management, composting, etc.

Experience with operation of trommel machines, composting processes, and microbial waste treatment is desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

Sound knowledge of biomining techniques, legacy waste handling, and remediation processes.

Familiarity with SWM Rules, CPCB guidelines, and environmental norms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage field teams and coordinate with contractors/laborers.

Good communication skills and report writing abilities.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and basic project management tools.
