The Automobile Technician is responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work efficiently and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles (petrol, diesel, and EV as applicable).
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Carry out engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake adjustments, wheel alignments, and other mechanical jobs.
  • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
  • Maintain records of work performed and spare parts used.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed jobs before vehicle delivery.
  • Follow safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and company SOPs.
  • Report any additional repairs required or unusual findings to the Service Advisor/Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the workshop area.

Requirements:

  • Education: ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a technician in an automobile workshop (TATA, Maruti, Hyundai, or similar brands preferred).

Skills:

  • Good technical knowledge of vehicle systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment.
  • Problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Teamwork and a positive attitude toward learning.
