We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with 7–9 years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud administration. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, administration, and optimization of our Azure cloud environment. You will work closely with solution architects, application teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions on Azure.

Core Azure Engineer with Hyper-V & Cloud Migration Expertise

Key Responsibilities

Design and Architecture

  • Design and implement Azure-based infrastructure solutions using Application Gateway, Load Balancer, Azure Front Door, Virtual Machines (VMs), and more.
  • Collaborate with architects to create highly available, secure, and scalable cloud-native environments.
  • Lead design of disaster recovery (DR) strategies using Azure Site Recovery, Backup Center and other resilience services.

Implementation and Operations

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain core Azure services including Azure Application Gateway, Load Balancer, Front Door, VMs (including scale sets), and storage solutions.
  • Configure and manage backup and recovery using Azure Backup Center.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources.
  • Thorough and deep understanding of Landing zones in Azure and how to deploy landing zones through Azure DevOps IaC.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting

  • Implement robust monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics Workspace.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain high service availability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning across cloud infrastructure components.

DevOps and CI/CD Automation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure deployments, configuration management, and application delivery using DevOps practices and tooling.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enable infrastructure agility and release velocity.

Security and Governance

  • Enforce best practices for Azure security including RBAC, NSGs, PIM, encryption, and identity protection.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements through use of tools like Azure Policy and Security Center.
  • Work with security teams to perform audits, remediation, and risk assessments.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead training and knowledge-transfer sessions with peers and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 7–9 years of proven experience in Azure cloud administration with large-scale, production-grade environments.
  • Deep expertise in Azure services: VMs, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Front Door, Backup Center, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor.
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation and IaC.
  • Solid background in Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts) or other CI/CD platforms.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, routing, load balancing) and Azure Virtual Network design.
  • Strong experience and understanding in deploying the hub-spoke topology in the Azure environments and Azure landing zones.
  • Familiarity with scripting using PowerShell or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting frameworks in Azure.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience with containerization and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Exposure to Azure Firewall, Security Center, Azure Policy.
  • Understanding of hybrid connectivity options (e.g., ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway).

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work under minimal supervision
