Position Summary

The Test - OPC Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing all activities related to test operations and operational process control within the production or quality environment. This role ensures that testing processes, systems, and tools are compliant, efficient, and aligned with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The manager will drive continuous improvement in testing operations, optimize resources, and ensure the reliability and accuracy of test results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all test activities in alignment with operational and production goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain OPC (Operational Process Control) systems to ensure process stability, quality assurance, and compliance.
  • Manage a team of test engineers, technicians, and process control specialists, ensuring training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ensure all testing procedures adhere to internal quality standards, ISO, IATF, or industry-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to define and optimize test methods, equipment, and metrics.
  • Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, process deviations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for test-related issues.
  • Prepare and review test documentation, including test plans, process validation, calibration logs, and reports.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on automation, efficiency, and process reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and corporate policies.
  • Manage budgets, equipment procurement, and vendor relationships related to test and OPC operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, operational process control, and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, SPC software) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and implementing process automation or digital transformation
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree or certification in Operations Management, Quality Management, or Project Management (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace
  • Knowledge of OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) for industrial data exchange (if applicable).
