Role Overview :

As the Lead Technical Architect, you will define the vision and architecture of one of Indias most ambitious multilingual AI platforms enabling digital inclusion for millions.

Youll be the strategic technical voice, shaping everything from architecture and infrastructure to AI orchestration and scalability, working alongside Indias brightest minds across academia, startups, and government.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and evolve the end-to-end technical architecture, including its API Marketplace, Partner Portal, Stakeholder Engagement System, Orchestration Engine, and Data Platform.

- Drive technology selection and evaluation (Flask, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, etc.) aligned with open-source and cloud-agnostic principles.

- Architect robust data pipelines for ingestion, processing, annotation, and storage across text, speech, image, and video modalities.

- Build the AI/ML infrastructure from model serving and versioning to MLOps and CI/CD for AI.

- Establish and enforce security, compliance, and privacy standards (DPDP Act, Ethical AI practices).

- Define performance, reliability, and scalability benchmarks and ensure these are met across systems.

- Lead architecture reviews, drive technical excellence, and reduce technical debt.

- Collaborate with Product, Data, DevOps, and Security teams to translate strategy into scalable, future-ready solutions.

Experience Requirements :

Must Have :

years in software engineering, with 5 years as Lead Architect or Principal Engineer.

- Hands-on experience with Python (Flask), Java, or Go.

- Deep expertise in microservices, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, and Kubernetes.

- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud-agnostic deployment strategies.

- Exposure to MLOps, AI/ML model lifecycle, and distributed systems design.

- Experience in architecting for high availability, DR, and resilience.

- Exceptional communication and leadership presence.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to NLP, OCR, NMT, or speech AI.

- Familiarity with secure coding and SDL practices.

- Experience with national-scale or public-sector platforms.

Nice to Have :

- Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
