Assistant Curator Public & Contemporary Art Programmes

Position Overview

The Assistant Curator will support the Foundations growing art portfolio—ranging from public sculptures and installations to thematic exhibitions and community engagement programmes.

This role suits a dynamic, mid-career professional (female, age 30–35) with a strong grounding in contemporary and public art, an eye for research and storytelling, and an ability to coordinate between artists, institutions, and civic partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and coordinate exhibitions and public-art projects from concept through completion, in collaboration with the senior curatorial team and partners

• Identify and engage with artists (Indian and international) aligned with the Foundation's themes of sustainability, urbanism, and cultural inclusion.

• Manage production, installation, and maintenance logistics for artworks across company's campuses and developments.

• Draft curatorial texts, wall labels, and essays; prepare interpretive and educational materials.

• Support public engagement initiatives such as art walks, school/community workshops, and artist talks.

• Maintain the art inventory, monitor conservation and restoration schedules, and coordinate documentation.

• Liaise with company's design, communications, and marketing teams to shape storytelling, digital campaigns, and exhibition collateral.

• Track project KPIs — including visitor engagement, timelines, and quality — and present quarterly reports.

• Stay abreast of art trends, curatorial practices, and relevant networks across India and globally.

Candidate Profile

Age: 30–35 years

Education: Master's degree in Art History, Visual Arts, Curatorial Practice, or a related field.

Experience: 5–8 years in curatorial/exhibition programming with galleries, museums, or cultural foundations (preferably with exposure to public art or large-format installations).

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills (English; Hindi desirable).

• Strong coordination skills and ability to multitask across sites and stakeholders.

• Confident engaging with artists, fabricators, and senior management.

• Passionate about art's role in urban sustainability, culture, and community.

• Collaborative, self-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced, creative environment.

• Reports to: Director

• Works closely with: Lead Curator; Communications & Design Teams; Project Development; and external artists, galleries, and civic partners.
