Job Title: Master Data Lead
Department: PTS Digital Delivery
Reports To: Master Data Manager
Location & Shift Time: Centre of Excellence (CoE) – In Office; 1 PM to 9:30 PM
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Master Data Lead to join our Digital Delivery team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving team performance, improving quality, and ensuring operational excellence within the Master Data (MD) function while directly contributing to the actual tasks.
As a Master Data Lead, you will take ownership of day-to-day team operations while also contributing directly to task execution. You will lead by example, ensuring the team meets delivery timelines, achieves quality targets, and maintains data accuracy across all device records, specifications, features, warranties, and images.
The Master Data team serves as the source of truth for downstream content workflows, making this role critical to overall business success. The leads will report to the Master Data Manager and play a key role in transforming team performance and process reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and guide the Master Data team to achieve delivery and quality targets.
- Take ownership of daily operations, ensuring task allocation, tracking, and accountability.
- Lead by example by performing core Master Data tasks, setting standards for accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor team performance, conduct reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Act as the first escalation point for operational or quality-related issues.
Quality Improvement & Process Excellence
- Drive initiatives to improve data accuracy and overall quality performance.
- Identify recurring errors, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with QA, downstream content, and tech teams to resolve data and workflow challenges.
- Conduct regular quality audits and track progress toward defined improvement goals.
Operational Delivery
- Manage task allocation based on capacity and priority, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, checklists, and process guides for the team.
- Oversee weekly and monthly reporting on performance, quality trends, and operational blockers.
- Ensure all device data and specifications are validated before downstream release.
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, managing communication and escalations.
- Represent the Master Data team in meetings, ensuring updates, dependencies, and risks are effectively communicated.
- Partner closely with the Manager and cross-functional teams to align on business priorities.
Process Improvement & Training
- Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members to ensure consistent standards.
- Promote best practices and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in content writing, data operations, or content operations, including prior exposure to leadership or team lead roles.
- Strong hands-on understanding of data validation, content management, and quality control processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams while contributing directly to operational tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking, reporting, and decision-making.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven with a focus on operational discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in digital delivery, e-commerce, or product catalog management.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, pivots, QA tracking).
- Experience leading quality improvement initiatives or managing process optimization projects.
