*The Opportunity:*

  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated system focusing on Logistics/Warehouse Management. Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configure system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Design details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.

The Opportunity

  • Avantor is looking for a Functional SAP Transportation Management (TM) Expertwith hands-on experience inSAP TMandSAP Business Network for Logistics (BN4L). In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, configuring, and optimizing transportation processes for our international logistics operations, with a strong focus on the European distribution network. Youll collaborate closely with business stakeholders of different levels, technical teams, and external partners to deliver innovative and scalable SAP TM solutions.

What were looking for

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with SAP TM and BN4L, preferably S4 HANA side-by-side
  • Experience in modelling business processes into SAP TM
  • Experience in BN4L GTT and FC is desired
  • Experience in TM integration with EWM is a plus
  • Experience in EWM is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of transportation related business processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of the integration points between TM, BN4L and ECC
  • Effective written and oral English communications and interpersonal skills
  • ABAP knowledge and any other programming knowledge/experience is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment, working independently and prioritizing work
  • Be highly motivated, have a great work ethic and enjoy working as part of a team

  • Become the solution expert for all systems supporting transportation processes
  • Work directly with super users to understand business requirements
  • Design, configure, test and implement solutions and software applications that meet business requirements. Write functional specifications and work with developers
  • Work with carriers to support them in onboarding to BN4L
  • Provide third level production support for any system issues
  • Research latest technologies that could provide value and benefit to the business
  • Manage projects as requested including budget, timeline, and resources
  • Assist in the preparation of workshops to demonstrate new developments
