1. Inspection Tool Proficiency: Expertise in using a wide range of precision measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore Gauge, and coordinate measuring machines , Vision Measuring Machine , Micron Height Gauge.
2. Engineering Drawing Reading: The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
3. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Knowledge and often certification in NDT methods like dye penetrant inspection, X-ray radiography, and magnetic particle testing for detecting internal and surface defects.
4.Defect Identification: A keen eye for visual inspection to spot surface defects (e.g., cracks, pits, inclusions) and other non-conformances.
5.Equipment Calibration: Knowledge of calibration procedures for inspection equipment to ensure consistent and accurate measurements.
6.Documentation and Reporting: The ability to maintain meticulous records of inspection results, document non-conformances, and generate comprehensive quality reports.
