Job Description

Responsible for design review, execution, testing, and commissioning of Extra High Voltage (EHV) substations (220 kV / 400 kV and above), ensuring compliance with technical standards, project specifications, and safety norms.

  • Supervise installation and erection of substation equipment including bus structures, switchgear, and control & relay panels.
  • Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for interface activities.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to drawings.
  • Monitor contractor activities and ensure timelines and quality standards are met.

  • Support procurement and inspection of major equipment at vendor works.

  • Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.

  • Verify relay settings, protection coordination, and interlocking schemes.
  • Coordinate with utility/discom for line charging and energization.
  • Prepare testing and commissioning reports and ensure documentation compliance

Strong technical understanding of EHV systems and protection schemes.
