Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bangalore for a Threat Hunting with 1-4 years of experience. The responsibilities include proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential cybersecurity threats. The candidate will monitor security systems, perform threat intelligence research, investigate security incidents, and recommend mitigation measures. Collaborating with cybersecurity teams, the professional will ensure that all systems remain resilient against evolving cyber threats. We prefer candidates who can join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive hunts across endpoints, network, cloud, and identity systems.
  • Build and refine hypotheses using threat intel and attacker TTPs.
  • Use EDR/XDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, Carbon Black) to detect anomalies.
  • Develop custom detection rules and improve SIEM/EDR alerts.
  • Analyze suspicious activity, malware behavior, and lateral movement.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and identify visibility gaps.
  • Investigate anomalies in logs, processes, registry, PowerShell, and network activity.
  • Propose new hunting methods, analytics, and automation ideas.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat hunting, and incident response.
  • Proficiency in tools and technologies for threat detection, analysis, and mitigation.
  • Ability to research emerging threats and stay updated on the latest in cybersecurity trends.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to handle complex security challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
