Job Description DriveWorks Engineer / Specialist

Location: Hyderabad

Work Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM

Role Overview

The DriveWorks Engineer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing automation tools using DriveWorks to improve efficiency in design processes. This role requires strong knowledge of SolidWorks, parametric modelling, and design automation concepts, with a focus on customization and client-specific solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and deploy DriveWorks automation solutions for SolidWorks-based projects.
• Create and maintain design rules, forms, logic, and workflows within DriveWorks.
• Automate repetitive design tasks to reduce engineering hours and errors.
• Collaborate with design teams to understand requirements and translate them into DriveWorks solutions.
• Integrate DriveWorks with CAD, ERP, and PDM systems as needed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing DriveWorks setups.
• Document processes, configurations, and user manuals for project teams.
• Train engineers and designers on using DriveWorks automation.
• Work closely with clients to gather requirements and deliver customized automated solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3 - 7 years of experience in design automation and SolidWorks customization.
• Hands-on expertise in DriveWorks Solo/Pro.
• Strong knowledge of parametric modelling in SolidWorks.
• Experience in CAD automation, rules-based configuration, or CPQ systems.
• Familiarity with macros, VBA, or API programming.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction.
