Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our real estate business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven experience in handling financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, taxation, and real estate project accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Perform variance analysis, cash flow analysis, and profitability tracking for real estate projects.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors.

  • Accounts Payable/Receivable

  • Oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.

  • Manage lease accounting, rent collections, and tenant ledger tracking.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects.

  • Monitor budgetary controls and ensure adherence to financial plans.

  • Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.

  • Handle income tax assessments, audits, and ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks (RERA, etc.).

  • Project Accounting

  • Maintain project-wise cost tracking and revenue recognition.

  • Allocate project expenses accurately and ensure project profitability is monitored.

  • Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor the accounts team.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations) for smooth financial operations.

  • ERP & Systems Management

  • Work with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or real estate-specific systems like Buildium or Yardi).

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, reporting, and document management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the real estate sector.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles and RERA guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in residential or commercial real estate projects.
  • Familiarity with property tax, lease administration, and escrow processes.
  • Hands-on experience with cost management and fund flow planning for real estate projects.
