We are looking for Hardware Engineer – Safety-Critical Systems (Kavach)
The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of hardware components for the Kavach program. The role involves microprocessor/microcontroller and FPGA-based design, PCB development, and support for SIL-4 compliant hardware development.
The position requires strong technical expertise in hardware design and the ability to work closely with senior engineers, safety teams, and cross-functional groups.
You'll make a difference by
- Design and develop hardware circuits using microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGA components.
- Contribute to schematic design, PCB layout support, and design documentation.
- Perform hardware integration, debugging, and testing.
- Support development of SIL-4 compliant designs in alignment with safety standards.
- Collaborate with RAMS teams to support reliability and safety analysis (FMEA, FTA, MTBF).
- Participate in hardware verification, validation, and environmental testing.
- Work with suppliers for component selection and prototyping.
- Document design activities and support audits/reviews.
DesiredSkills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in hardware design and PCB development.
- Hands-on experience with microcontroller, microprocessor, and FPGA-based hardware.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, etc.).
- Exposure to safety-critical hardware development and SIL-4 standards (EN 50126/8/9, EN
- Basic understanding of RAMS and reliability analysis methods.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good documentation and communication ability.
- Team player with willingness to learn from senior engineers.
