About the Role

As a Senior Architect at Propel, your mission is to lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable, and secure technology architectures that power transformative digital solutions. You will serve as a strategic technical leader—translating complex business requirements into modern architectures, guiding engineering teams through execution, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.

This role demands both a high level of technical depth and the growth mindset to be hands-on, mentor teams, and continuously push the boundaries of innovation and quality across diverse domains.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Strategy & Execution: Lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance solutions using SOA, Microservices, event-driven, and distributed systems

2. Cloud & Infrastructure: Guide migrations to cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), leveraging SaaS/PaaS/IaaS. Architect cloud-native solutions that are secure, reliable, and cost efficient

3. Containerization & Scalability: Build and deploy scalable systems using Docker and Kubernetes

4. Data Engineering & Security: Design secure data pipelines using ETL/ELT/CDC techniques; implement encryption standards (AES, DES, MD5, SHA1); ensure HIPAA/GDPR or any other compliance as required by business

5. Solution Leadership: Own full-cycle solutioning—from POCs to production—addressing business challenges with innovative tech

6. DevOps & CI/CD: Promote best practices across version control (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines), and code quality tools (SonarQube, Veracode)

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders, product teams, and developers to align technical architecture with business outcomes

8. Mentorship & Governance: Set architectural standards, mentor engineering teams,and champion a culture of technical excellence

What You Bring

You should bring deep expertise in several of the following

1. Languages & Frameworks:

2. Proficiency in .NET and Angular/ReactJS (full-stack mindset preferred).

3. Others: Java, Python, Scala, Spring Boot, Flask

4. Databases & Distributed Systems:

5. Proficiency in SQL or PostgreSQL,

6. Others: MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis

7. Cloud:

8. Proficiency in Azure

9. Others: AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub

10. DevOps:

11. Handson experience in building CI/CD pipeline

12. Familiarity in IaC – Terraform or Bicep or others

13. ETL & Streaming: Proficiency in one or more - Kafka, Spark Streaming, Talend, Redis pub/sub

14. Security & Identity: ADFS, Okta, Auth0; data encryption and secure access strategies

15. Testing & Automation: Proficient understanding in one or more – Locust, Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, Gatling, UiPath, Automation, Power Automate

16. Handson experience in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and distributed data platforms. Familiarity of ElasticSearch, Spark, Hadoop

17. Proven track record of architecting enterprise platforms end-to-end as a primary architect.

18. Open to code yourself (not just review), open to learn new technologies, adaptable, and willing to mentor/train next-gen engineers.

19. Ability to communicate technical solutions to business and IT stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

What We're Looking For

1. 10+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture and solution delivery

2. Strong experience in designing distributed, scalable, and cloud-native applications

3. Deep knowledge of system integration, API design, data modeling, and performance optimization

4. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
