Reporting to the VP, Architecture, the Mobile Developer (Android) will be responsible for the following duties and obligations:

Job Title: Mobile Developer (Android)

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Mobile Developer with expertise in Android development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience working with Kotlin and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You should thrive in a dynamic environment and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Android Application Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement new features and enhancements based on product requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Technical Expertise:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
• Contribute to the development of technical specifications and architecture.
• Review and provide feedback on code to ensure high quality and adherence to best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate progress, issues, and risks effectively to stakeholders and team members.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure the reliability of applications.
• Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Ensure that applications meet performance and security standards.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously seek ways to improve development processes and workflows.
• Share knowledge and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Android development with a strong focus on Kotlin.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying Android applications.
• Familiarity with Android frameworks such as Android Jetpack, LiveData, and Room.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries and APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Android applications.
• Familiarity with Google's Material Design guidelines and best practices for mobile UX/UI.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.

Working Conditions:

• Occasional travel may be required for training or conferences.
