About the Role

We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer for one of our international clients — a New York–based edtech startup reinventing how students and teachers submit and grade assignments using AI.

You'll be developing a desktop application with Electron, React, and , and integrating AI features through APIs or open-source models. You will work directly with the co-founder and have the opportunity to join at the ground level as part of the founding team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cross-platform desktop applications with Electron and React.
  • Develop backend services with
  • Integrate AI/ML features (e.g., via OpenAI, Hugging Face, or custom models).
  • Package, deploy, and optimize desktop applications.
  • Contribute to design, code reviews, and technical discussions with the client's team.

Requirements

  • Proven, hands-on experience with Electron (must-have).
  • Strong proficiency in React and
  • Solid background in full-stack development.
  • Practical experience integrating AI/ML APIs or models (preferred).
  • Understanding of desktop app performance, deployment, and updates.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SQLite, WebSockets, or real-time features.
  • CI/CD for desktop applications.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI development.
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Open-source or personal project contributions.
