We're building a modern ERP/MIS platform for the printing industry, targeting 10,000+ print shops. Our mission is to replace fragmented, outdated tools with an integrated, user-friendly system that handles everything from customer orders to production management.

- Looking for our first technical hire to architect and build the foundation

The Role

You will be **Employee #1** and our **Technical Lead**. This is not just a developer role - you're building the foundation of the entire platform and will have massive ownership and impact.

What You'll Do:

**Architecture & Foundation (First 2 months):**

- Design the complete system architecture for 10,000 user scale

- Set up development, staging, and production environments

- Establish database schema for orders, customers, inventory, jobs

- Create the CI/CD pipeline and deployment workflows

- Build the authentication and authorization system

- Set up error logging, monitoring, and analytics

**Core Development (Months 3-6):**

- Build the order management system (create, edit, track orders)

- Develop customer management (CRM basics)

- Implement product catalog with pricing engine

- Create file upload system for customer artwork

- Build the dashboard and basic reporting

- Develop production queue and job management

- Implement barcode workflow system

**Team Leadership (Months 6+):**

- Mentor and code review other developers as team grows

- Make technology decisions and set coding standards

- Break down features into tasks for other developers

- Conduct technical interviews for new hires

- Own production deployments and emergency fixes

**Frontend:**

App Router, Server Components)

- React 18+ with TypeScript (strict mode)

- Tailwind CSS + Shadcn/ui component library

- React Hook Form + Zod for forms and validation

**Backend:**

- API Routes with tRPC (type-safe APIs)

- PostgreSQL 15+ (Neon or Supabase)

- Redis for caching and sessions

- BullMQ for background job processing

**Infrastructure:**

- Vercel for hosting (frontend + API)

- Railway for background workers

- Cloudflare R2 for file storage

- Cloudflare CDN for performance

Required Qualifications
Must Have:

**Experience:**

- 5+ years of full-stack web development

- 3+ years with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

- 2+ years with backend development

- Strong SQL and relational database experience (PostgreSQL preferred)

- Experience building and deploying production applications

- Track record of architecting applications for 5K-10K+ users

**Technical Skills:**

- Expert in TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+)

- Deep understanding of React (hooks, context, performance optimization)

- Strong backend API development (REST or GraphQL)

- Database design and query optimization

- Git workflows and version control best practices

- Understanding of web security (auth, XSS, CSRF, SQL injection)

- Experience with deployment and DevOps basics

**Soft Skills:**

- Self-motivated and able to work independently

- Strong written and verbal communication in English

- Comfortable with ambiguity (early-stage startup)

- Problem-solving mindset - figure things out without hand-holding

- Ownership mentality - you care about the product, not just the code

- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for video calls

Nice to Have:

**Technical:**

-Experience with (especially App Router)

**Leadership:**

-Previous tech lead or senior developer experience

-Made architectural decisions for production systems
