Job Description: Senior AccountantPosition: Senior Accountant
Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: Rajkot
Reporting To: Finance Manager / Accounts Head
Role OverviewThe Senior Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial records, maintain statutory compliance, and support monthly and annual financial closing. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
- Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee day-to-day accounting activities.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Manage GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Implement and review internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Supervise junior accounting staff (if required).
- Maintain vendor payment records, employee reimbursement, and petty cash.
- Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (Master's preferred).
- 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Excellent understanding of Indian Accounting Standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Preferred SkillsExperience in GST & TDS return filing.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting.
- Experience in MIS reporting.
- Audit support experience.
