Position Summary:

Engineer with hands-on experience on PI system and its components

  • Knowledge on PI System architecture and data flow
  • Strong knowledge on PI AF
  • Knowledge on PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Interface, PI Vision configurations
  • Ability to prepare design document and functional requirement specification

Job Responsibilities:

Functioning as the PI System Administrator

  • Generation of report, data validation, PI point configuration using pi builder and through SMT
  • Work on the OSIsoft PI system Installation/Upgradation and Configurations (PI HA, PI AF, PI Vision)
  • Collective configuration and management, Analysing PI SDK logs
  • Knowledge on OSI PI Administration activities like monitoring the health of PI Server, Interfaces and working with the issues related to the same
  • Creation and modification of PI points, manual data upload in archive, PI server backup, tuning parameters
  • Work on configuration of OSIsoft PI Clients like PI Vision, PI Datalink, PI Process Book, building graphical displays for monitoring the PI data using Vision
  • Work on the PI Interfaces preferably PI OPC, PIRDBMS and PI Modbus and PI PerfMon interfaces
  • Knowledge on DCOM Configuration.
  • Design, build, test, troubleshoot and debug new and existing PI based tools
  • Identify and develop technology and process improvements to EF, PI/AF configuration, data maintenance, and general usage
  • Migration of PI system with recommended architecture
  • Knowledge on PI Web API
  • Provide troubleshooting of end user technical problems with PI tools
  • Prepare and maintain end user and administrative documentation and knowledge base for PI technologies and tools used by our clients
  • Knowledge on PI System integration with third party applications/tools

Position Requirements:

minimum of 8+ years experience with PI Vision, PI AF (Asset Analytics, Event Frames), PI Web API, PI Process Book and Data Link

  • Experience with AF-SDK, and RtReports
  • Experience with OPC technologies and PI interfaces
  • Understanding of SQL and general database concepts
  • Good interpersonal skills and solid communication
  • Good to have experience in the Life Sciences industry

Key Skills:

  • PI Data Archive, PI AF Server, PI Notifications, PI Interfaces(OPC DA/HDA ,UFL, RDBMS, Modbus, PerfMon), RtReports, PI Vision, PI Process Book, PI Datalink, Understanding of Life science/Pharma domain.
  • Implementation/Support/Migration/Upgradation projects.
