About the Role

We are looking for a qualified
PLC/Automation Engineer
with hands-on experience in commissioning automation systems, preferably within
EAF/LRF-based production or steel manufacturing environments
. The candidate will be responsible for pre-commissioning, testing, and on-site commissioning of industrial automation and electrical systems at our Kharagpur facility and across project sites in India and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform
    pre-commissioning, testing, and cold trials
    of automation and control systems at the Kharagpur facility.
  • Execute
    on-site commissioning
    of automation and electrical systems in
    EAF/LRF or related manufacturing units
    .
  • Test and validate
    PLC panels, control systems, and electrical equipment
    to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Troubleshoot and fine-tune
    automation systems during start-up and commissioning phases.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams for
    system optimization and integration
    .
  • Implement project-specific
    modifications and improvements
    in PLC logic and hardware configurations.
  • Maintain comprehensive
    documentation
    of testing, commissioning, and modification activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in
    Electrical Engineering
    .
  • 1–2 years of experience
    in commissioning automation systems within
    EAF/LRF-based production or heavy industrial environments
    .
  • Proficiency in
    PLC programming, electrical panel testing
    , and
    industrial control systems
    .
  • Willingness to
    travel PAN India and internationally
    for commissioning projects.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with
    Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Schneider PLCs
    .
  • Knowledge of
    SCADA, HMI
    , and
    industrial communication protocols
  • Exposure to
    steel plant automation
    ,
    furnace control
    , or
    industrial process automation
    projects.
