Job Summary

We are seeking a
highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer
with strong expertise in
Playwright
and modern web automation frameworks. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automation solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications.

You will play a critical role in shaping our test automation strategy and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable high-quality, high-velocity product releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation frameworks using
    Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Define and maintain test architecture and automation best practices across multiple product suites
  • Build comprehensive
    end-to-end, functional, regression, and API
    test suites
  • Conduct
    cross-browser and cross-platform
    testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and responsive/mobile viewports)
  • Leverage advanced Playwright features such as:
  • Browser context isolation
  • Network request interception and mocking
  • Visual regression testing
  • Tracing and debugging tools
  • Integrate automated tests into
    CI/CD pipelines
    (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Lead efforts for
    parallel execution
    , test sharding, and execution optimization
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams for containerized/cloud-based test environments
  • Investigate failed tests, perform root cause analysis, and log clear, actionable defects
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and manual QA to define testable acceptance criteria and improve coverage
  • Conduct
    code reviews
    to maintain automation code quality
  • Track and report
    QA metrics
    , using tools like
    Allure
    , and provide visibility to stakeholders
  • Stay current on advancements in Playwright and related technologies to continuously improve automation strategies

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in automation testing, with
    hands-on expertise in Playwright
  • Proficiency in
    TypeScript/JavaScript
    with clean, modular coding practices
  • Solid understanding of
    web technologies
    (HTML5, CSS, DOM, browser behavior)
  • Experience building
    custom automation frameworks
    and reusable test utilities
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines
    , Git, and Agile development workflows
  • API testing experience using
    Postman
    ,
    REST-assured
    , or
    Playwright's API testing capabilities
  • Strong debugging skills with browser dev tools, Playwright trace viewer, and log analysis
  • Comfortable working in
    BDD/TDD
    environments with tools like
    Cucumber
    or assertion libraries
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
