Roles and Responsibilities

  • Production and Operations Management:

  • Plan, organize, and direct the entire manufacturing process to meet production targets and deadlines.

  • Optimize workflow and implement best practices to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee production scheduling, resource allocation (manpower, materials, and machinery), and inventory management.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective, lasting solutions.

  • ERP System Management:

  • Manage and oversee all plant operations through our ERP system (Microsoft Business Central).

  • Utilize the ERP for production planning, inventory control, order processing, and generating performance reports.

  • Ensure data accuracy within the system and train staff on its proper usage.

  • Quality, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce stringent quality control standards to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards.

  • Champion a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the entire factory workforce, including supervisors, operators, and support staff.

  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

  • Handle employee relations and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

  • Cost and Efficiency Management:

  • Develop and manage the plant's operational budget, ensuring activities remain within financial limits.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Promote lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and enhance operational performance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in a factory or production management role.
  • Industry Background (Mandatory): Candidates must have significant experience within the Stainless Steel fabrication industry. Applications without this specific industry background will not be considered.
  • ERP Proficiency (Mandatory): Demonstrated working knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Business Central is strongly preferred and will be a key selection criterion.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality control systems (like ISO), and supply chain management.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
