Job Purpose

We are seeking a tenured Data Architect to lead end-to-end data solution design, define current- and target-state architectures, conduct schema reviews, and shape enterprise reporting. The ideal candidate drives data lineage and governance, modernizes reporting tools, and leads cloud migrations leveraging medallion architecture, robust data-quality frameworks, and compliance-ready designs. The role includes consulting on cloud modernization paths, ensuring regulatory reporting, advancing self-service analytics, and reviewing reporting wireframes. Additionally, delivers scalable data warehousing and integration with strong data modeling and collaborating across architecture, engineering, and operations teams to build secure, reliable platforms that accelerate business insights.

Desired Skills and experience

Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or BI, with strong expertise in SQL Server, data warehousing, and reporting platforms.

Proven experience in data warehouse modernization, cloud migration (Azure, AWS, Databricks), and data integration.

Deep understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT, data quality, data governance and lineage tools.

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven data requirements in banking.

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Certifications in data architecture, cloud platforms, or BI tools preferred.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments.

Must possess good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

Assess current-state data architectures, including source system inventories, schema reviews (tables, views, star schemas), and reporting dependencies (SSRS, SSAS, Power BI).

Drive schema assessments, data lineage, reporting modernization, and cloud migration planning, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant data solutions

Define target-state data architectures, including Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) patterns, data quality checkpoints, and lineage frameworks.

Develop data discovery packs, data dictionaries, and impact analyses for candidate changes.

Recommend modernization paths for on-prem and cloud/Databricks options, including cost/benefit analysis and migration strategies.

Ensure compliance with regulatory/reporting requirements (CMPT, GPR/GBR), and support risk/control assessments.

Collaborate with application architects, business analysts, and DevOps/DataOps engineers to enable integrated data pipelines and automation.

Guide the adoption of self-service analytics, data governance, and data quality frameworks.

Support the development of testing strategies, environment blueprints, and regression approaches for data solutions. Behavioral Competencies
