HW-HW Sr. Engineer

Position: HW-HW Sr. Engineer (Individual Contributor role) (CE69SF RM 3655)

Preference: BGV Ready Candidates; Worked in product development industries like medical device or life sciences products with optical instruments with design and development exposure environment.

Summary/Purpose:

8-12 years of experience of lead design and develop a product/module design includes to perform various tasks while working on projects related to digital systems, signal processing and power systems, but includes not limited to involves concept reviews, selection, design and release of an electrical board PCA and developing with a vendor, with an excellent experience in circuit design concepts development, electrical/electronic component selection, designing schematics, with an help of ECAD engineer to release Gerbers to vendors; but also involve development, verification, validation testing, Quality Management Systems, and good vendor interactions to have a focused electrical design and development of a products project team

Essential Responsibilities

Provide an expertise in participating technical discussions include concepts reviews, prioritization, concept selections etc.

Developing circuit design concepts, Gerber, developing PCA Bill Of Material, performing review with peers to lead and finalize the design outputs like schematics, electrical drawings of PWA, PCA, Cables & Harness, specifications, BOMs , drawings releases etc.

Designing and testing electrical systems and components; Conducting testing to ensure the systems and components meet safety standards

Documenting testing activities and specifications of electrical components and systems; Staying updated about new technologies, industry standards and regulations

Experience of safety and regulatory standards and testing includes but not limited to EMI/EMC, IEC 61010 etc., applicable to lab equipment; Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues while implementing and maintaining electrical systems

Schematics design using tools like ORCAD or equivalent; Component BOM creation with Manufacturer part #s.

Electronics design to mitigate obsolescence, quality & production issues (under Installed Base/product engineering /support care projects)

Create and develop technical documentation like test plan, test reports, technical notes, minutes of meetings etc preparation, review and release

Working with others, follow up, ensure team's delivery quality and commitment

Provide a good verbal and written communication skills with team collaboration to deliver a successful outcome.

Lead and support life cycle management activities, change management process [ECR/ECO;. Proficient in working with PLM tools like Teamcenter/equivalent.

Supporting manufacturing for work instructions, Integration, product test specifications, checklist etc.

Demonstrate experience in working with global teams; experience of searching and working with vendors to develop component and verify the parts for acceptances.

Accountability and ownership.

Qualifications / Requirements: MTech /BE/B Tech in EEE/ECE/ EIE Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering in any recognized University

Experience:

8-12 years of experience in system or electrical module or component design, development activities include inspection and verification of parts, validation testing, excellence in Quality Management Systems [QMS], documentation of writing test plans, reports and with good vendor interactions; Preferred with experience in Optics and development of Optical instruments of concept and detailed design, validation testing.
