Web Automation Engineer:

Key Responsibilities:

●Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using tools

like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

●Build and maintain API test automation using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or

Karate.

●Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

●Collaborate with developers to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria.

●Ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing.

●Track and report defects using tools like JIRA.

●Create and maintain reusable test data and environments.

●Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Mandatory Skills:

Automation testing for web and API platforms+ JavaScript/TypeScript/ Java+ Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for UI automation + API testing with Postman, REST-assured + Agile

Required Skills:

●4+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing for web and API platforms.

●Strong expertise in tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for UI automation.

●Proficient in API testing with Postman, REST-assured, or similar frameworks.

●Experience with programming/scripting languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.

●Familiarity with version control systems (Git), test runners, and CI/CD pipelines.

●Good understanding of HTTP protocols, RESTful APIs, and authentication mechanisms

(OAuth, JWT).

●Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

●Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber or CodeceptJS.

●Experience with Docker, test containers, or cloud-based test environments.
