Motion Graphics Artist

JOB DESCRIPTION: MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER WITH DOP SKILLS

Focus Area: YouTube Video Content

We are looking for a visually sharp and storytelling-focused Motion Graphics Designer to enhance our YouTube video content with clean, educational, and engaging motion graphics.

While the primary focus will be motion design for YouTube video content, having basic camera and lighting skills (DOP) for occasional shoots is considered a valuable bonus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Motion Design for YouTube Videos

• Design intro animations, lower thirds, transitions, explainer visuals, infographics and call-to-action elements for long-form and short-form YouTube content.
• Enhance educational and storytelling videos with clean, on-brand motion graphics that support viewer retention and clarity.
• Work closely with the creative director and video editors to layer animation assets on edited footage.

2. Creative Collaboration

• Collaborate with content strategists, scriptwriters, and editors to bring storyboards and educational concepts to life visually.
• Translate complex stock market or trading concepts into easy-to-understand motion graphics.
• Assist the team in brainstorming visual formats, visual metaphors, and data animations for key topics.

3. Asset Management & Delivery

• Maintain an organized library of motion templates, reusable animation assets, and project files.
• Ensure consistency with brand guidelines including fonts, colors, visual tone, and transitions across all videos.
• Deliver high-quality motion graphics optimized for YouTube timelines, resolutions, and export settings.

4. DOP & Camera Handling

• Assist during video shoots with DSLR/mirrorless camera handling, framing, and lighting.
• Vertical shoots for the inorganic team as well.
• Set up indoor lighting rigs for talking head, explainer, or interview-style videos.
• Coordinate with the production team to support in-house filming when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in motion graphics design, preferably for YouTube, education, or long-form video content.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator (or similar tools).
• Strong portfolio showing motion work in explainer, education, or YouTube content formats.
• Basic understanding of YouTube storytelling structure, pacing, and viewer engagement patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with camera and lighting setups for basic in-house shoots.
• Hands-on experience with filming YouTube videos, reels, or tutorial content.
• Knowledge of framing, exposure, and lighting balance.

Work Location

This is a Work from Office role based in Dombivli, Maharashtra.

Salary Range

25,000 35,000 per month (based on experience and skillset)
