Job Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the Detail Engineering Department in preparing and reviewing electrical designs for industrial and utility boilers. You will be responsible for developing deliverables under the guidance of senior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review electrical design deliverables: single-line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, cable sizing, interconnection diagrams, and equipment specifications.
  • Assist in the design and layout of power distribution systems (MCC, PCC, switchgear, transformers, UPS, drives, etc.) for boiler auxiliaries (fans, pumps, conveyors, etc.).
  • Support vendor document reviews and participate in basic engineering coordination with other disciplines.
  • Support erection and commissioning teams with documentation and clarifications.

Desired Candidate profile:

Ideally, an applicant shall possess the following skills and experience in essentials:

Essential:

  • Electrical design fundamentals (SLDs, cable sizing, power/control drawings).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/EPLAN or similar tools.
  • Understanding of motor control systems, grounding, and protection basics.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of IS/IEC/IEEE codes.
  • Exposure to boiler/power plant projects during academics or internships.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ETAP and lighting design tools.
  • Exposure to I&C (DCS/PLC) basics.
