About The Role

Growify is establishing a dedicated AI department to build the next generation of intelligent, AI-driven products that will transform e-commerce for global brands. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will shape the integration of AI across Growify's platform, leading projects while also mentoring and guiding the junior AI team.

You will be at the forefront of AI innovation, working with both traditional machine learning and cutting-edge LLM-based and agentic AI architectures, maintaining a strong technical focus while influencing Growify's AI culture and strategy.

What You'll Do Most Of The Time

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems—from classical ML (using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn) to modern LLM-powered and agentic AI features.

• Lead projects from ideation to execution, handling architecture, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.

• Work with unstructured data, embeddings, vector databases, and tackle complex real-world data challenges.

• Evaluate and integrate LLM frameworks such as OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain, or Ollama where relevant.

• Deliver impactful AI capabilities in collaboration with product and engineering teams, focusing on user and business outcomes.

• Mentor junior engineers, fostering rapid learning, clean coding practices, and strong problem-solving skills.

• Guide and upskill the junior AI team by sharing best practices, reviewing their work, and encouraging responsibility.

• Stay updated on advancements in AI/ML and agentic AI, helping shape Growify's technical and strategic direction.

What You'll Need To Qualify

• 4+ year's hands-on experience in software or AI/ML development, including at least 3 years in deep learning or machine learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn).

• 1+ years of industry experience with large language models (LLMs) and familiarity with their deployment in production.

• Practical exposure to agentic AI architectures (LLM agents or autonomous workflows).

• Strong background in statistics and probability as applied to real-world AI/ML problems.

• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills—you are as comfortable explaining your decisions as making them.

• Experience building and deploying ML or LLM systems, including end-to-end ML workflows, data pipelines, APIs, and vector search.

• Prior experience with project ownership or mentoring/leading team members.

Preferred Skills

You don't need them all—enthusiasm to learn is highly valued:

• Hands-on with OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain, or similar frameworks

• Familiarity with FastAPI, Docker, or MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow)

• Experience with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Qdrant)

• Background in prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and generative output evaluation

• Ability to evaluate and optimize deployments, balancing performance, cost, and complexity
