The University of Southampton (UoS), in partnership with University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), is looking to recruit a clinical research fellow in infectious diseases.The successful candidate will work part time as clinical research fellow supporting Professor Clark in his NIHR funded research programme on rapid diagnostic tests.The University of Southampton, Faculty of MedicineThe UoS is a leading research-intensive University, a member of the Russell Group and one of the top 100 universities worldwide. The Trust is a major centre for teaching and research. We provide a high quality care for patients with severe and complex infection through the infectious diseases and microbiology service.What We Are Looking ForA dynamic, self-motivated, clinically trained individual to contribute to and deliver a programme of clinical infectious diseases research.Applicants must haveMBBS or equivalent, MRCP or equivalent, completion of Core Medical Training (CMT) or equivalent and research experience supported by high quality publications and other research outputs/impacts.Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.Additional InformationIndividuals wishing to apply must be fully registered with General Medical Council (GMC)Professor Tristan Clark, NIHR Professor of Infectious Diseases.
