Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC VTL machines.
  • 2+ years of experience in CNC programming (G-code and/or CAM software).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Strong understanding of metal cutting theory, tool geometry, and machining practices.
  • Experience working with large-diameter or heavy workpieces (e.g., up to several feet in diameter).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Fanuc, controls.
  • Familiarity with CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Fusion 360.
  • Experience with boring mills, horizontal turning centers, or other large-format CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, titanium, and other alloys.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
