Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with extensive experience in ECC systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in ABAP programming, a thorough understanding of SAP business processes, and experience working with primary modules including SD, MM, FICO, and PP. The candidate should be capable of delivering high-quality solutions adhering to SDLC best practices while collaborating with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ABAP applications in ECC 5.0 and higher systems.
  • Perform technical analysis of SAP business documents, master data, and transaction data across SD, MM, FICO, and PP modules, including cross-functional configurations.
  • Develop applications using BADI, Enhancements, BAPI, User Exits, Dialog Programming, Reports, SAP Scripts, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, Interfaces, and Conversion Programs.
  • Follow SAP layers of abstraction, including Open SQL vs Native SQL, Data Dictionary, and operating system commands.
  • Utilize ABAP Objects (Object-Oriented programming) for application development.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis using ABAP Debugger, Application Logs, Code Optimizer, SQL Trace, Transport, and Version Management.
  • Work with interface and messaging architectures including Webservices, PROXY, EDI/IDOC, and XI/PI.
  • Execute eCATT, Transaction Recorder, and BDC programming as needed.
  • Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for all developments.
  • Author, review, and maintain Technical Specifications, Unit Test Documents, and Test Scripts.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams, including partner organizations and regional/global support teams.
  • Manage incidents, resource allocation, and reporting as per organizational standards.

  • SAP S/4 HANA ABAP development (AMDP, CDS Views, BOPF)
  • SAPUI5/Fiori application development and extensions
  • SAP Gateway modeling (SEGW)
  • SAP Personas with front-end JavaScript development
  • BRF+ coding, RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP), ABAP Cloud
  • SQL Monitor (SQLM) and SCMON
  • Advanced Object-Oriented ABAP programming

Key Performance Areas

  • Ensure global team coordination and meet service SLAs.
  • Challenge and validate specifications thoroughly.
  • Deliver high-quality applications adhering to SDLC processes.
  • Understand SAP enterprise data and interface management.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple teams including regional data centers and local support.
  • Maintain customer-centric approach and ensure timely service delivery.
