Job Title: Kafka Architect

Location: Bangalore, India (On-site/Hybrid as per project requirement)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade data streaming solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Apache Kafka, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and strong problem-solving skills to support high-performance, scalable, and resilient data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design enterprise-level Kafka-based data streaming platforms.
  • Define best practices for Kafka cluster setup, scaling, monitoring, and security.
  • Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to design event-driven microservices.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and fault-tolerant Kafka deployments.
  • Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of Kafka environments.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to align Kafka solutions with business needs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years in Kafka architecture and design.
  • Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka (including Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Schema Registry).
  • Expertise in event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and messaging platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Strong background in Java/Scala/Python for Kafka integration.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
